Nigel Farrelly
Nigel studied Physiology and Health Science at Carlow Institute of Technology before qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of the West of England and registering with the Health Care Professional Council in 2015. He is a confident, motivated, and results driven physiotherapist with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Nigel’s high level of emotional intelligence, along with his strong interpersonal and listening skills enable him to create a safe and fun environment for his patients.
He has expertise in providing bespoke manual therapy and specific exercise prescription. He is a Level 2 exercise and fitness instructor and has trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, and The British Medical Acupuncture Society.
Nigel has expertise in treating a broad range of conditions in children, young adults, and the elderly. Nigel’s expertise include but are not limited to sports injuries, chronic conditions, and neurological conditions. He has a specialist interest in conditions of the neck and shoulder including impingements, postural conditions, headaches, migraines, and issues of the vestibular system.
Professionally Nigel uses a broad range of treatment techniques including mobilisations, manipulations, massage, taping, acupuncture, dry needling, and shockwave in addition to providing bespoke progressive rehabilitation programs.
Nigel uses the most up to date assessment and treatment techniques. He continues his professional development through reading, attending courses, and collaborative practice which ultimately means his patients get the best possible service.
In his personal life Nigel tries to keep active, enjoying a range of sports including running, cycling, surfing, mountain biking, Gaelic football, rugby, and hiking.
